A development consultant and social entrepreneur with extensive experience in non-profit management, social enterprise development, small business development fair trade, program development and change management. Specialized in poverty reduction project management, strategic analysis and planning, domestic and international marketing/sales, trade sourcing, export promotion, and operations/logistics. He is analytical strategic thinker adept at quick problem identification and solutions, efficiently handling multiple projects under strict time constraints while consistently reducing expenditures. He has in-depth knowledge in product marketing, differentiation, and positioning; and skilled in funding sourcing and implantation assistance.
He acquired his tertiary education in Bachelor of Business Administration at Valley View University, Accra, Ghana. He is Global Strategist and President Recnowa Initiative, Kumasi, Ghana (June 2009 till date). Founded the organization with one employee to a thirty employee non-profit social enterprise within a year creating employment opportunities for street youth, and physically challenged artisans adding value to their skills, create sustainable fair employment for them and pay them a fair wage to break the cycle of poverty and the needed empowerment to address other local challenges. Built and successfully maintained a professional team of results-driven employees.
He created various strategic partnerships with various international development organizations. Responsible for day to day management of the organization, strategic planning, global fundraising activities, donor cultivation, new business development, working with fair trade shops and generating new international markets for our products. He provided strategic input and direction for winning the World Bank-Ghana Development Market Place Award 2011. Led business development to build brand awareness and create product competitive images abroad. Developed global marketing business plans for our handmade recycled products. Provided in-depth market research, analyzed existing business operations (marketing, sales, logistics, and distribution) and developed value-added programs for maximum operational efficiency and increased revenue.
He won the 2012 World Business and Development Award, 2011 Imagine Nations Business Plan Competition and the 2010 UNEP SEED Initiative Award. He is Founder and Executive Director, Edikanfo Progressive Foundation Kumasi, Ghana (August 2000-May 2007). He build capacity of startup exporters to be competitive in the international export market and recruit and manage international volunteer responsible for providing onsite sustainable development consulting services to selected non-profits, local government and civil society organizations in Ghana. He initiated the city’s participation to the International Children’s Games in Cleveland, Ohio USA in 2004 thus making it the first city in Ghana to represent the country in the 36 year history of the games at the time and accomplished the difficult task of singlehandedly raising funds for the entire forty-five member delegation. He is International Development Fellow, World Partners for Development VA U.S.A. (June 2007-Dec 2008). Awards won Agfund Prize 2014, TIAW World of Difference Award 2013, US Presidential Voluntary Service Award, SEED Initiative Award.
